The IPL is here for its 2019 season as the Chennai Super Kings aim to defend their title.
The season runs from March 23 until May 12, and is the 12th edition of the competition.
There was always a shed-load of money involved but as with everything it keeps going up and up.
This year is no different with players being tempted from all over the world to play in arguably the most exciting T20 competition on the calendar.

Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Jos Buttler, Rohit Sharma, Ben Stokes, David Smith and AB de Villiers are just some of the star names for this season.
How much does the IPL pay out in prize money?
Last year the official payout was just over £6m, and this year it is supposed to reach between £7.5m-£9m.
And this year there is a bigger emphasis on players pocketing the money with a change to ensure 50% goes to the team and 50% to the players.
The winner this year will take in a mammoth £2,188,651.04, while the runner up gets £1,367,906.90.
The MVP for the tournament, the Purple Cap winner (leading wicket taker), Orange Cap winner (leading run scorer) all pocket £10,943.
There also awards for Perfect Catch of the Season, Stylish Player of the season, GameChanger of the season and Emerging Player of the Season who all get £10,943.
The Super Striker of the Season wins a trophy and a Harrier SUV.
And there is more money on offer in each game with the awards of up to £1,000 on offer for man of the match awards during the regular season and £5,470 in the playoffs.
