Is it a curse or is it a conspiracy? Either way, this is weird.
Retired Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade went on a farewell tour across the NBA throughout last season, with memorable moments with some of the biggest players in the game.
The jersey swaps became a staple of the end of the season as the future hall of famer had a fond farewell.
The problem came as free agency has stunned with the biggest shake up in NBA history.
Wade took to Twitter to point out the issue.
All i know is my jersey swap collection is looking kinda bootleg since FA started 😂😂😂. In 20 years ain’t no one believing those players played in those uniforms❤️
Many others have as well.
While Wade may have us all believing he didn’t know what was about to come, it seems to be a rather large coincidence that all these moves have taken place, many who have a Wade jersey.
Wade swapped jerseys with more than three dozen players and 18 of those have switched to different teams.

Players such as Anthony Davis’ move from New Orleans to the LA Lakers, Chris Paul to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Russell Westbrook and a heap of picks in future drafts (although he might be on the move again soon), Jimmy Butler from the 76ers to the Miami Heat and plenty more of the moves that have rocked the league.
Some have seen it as a curse or a conspiracy theory.
Wade put a curse on everyone https://t.co/ooTRFWNvFx
NBA conspiracy theory everyone who swapped jerseys with Dwayne Wade changed teams in this year's free agency 😂 https://t.co/tG8BFLX6O6
Is the @DwyaneWade jersey swap curse the new @Drake curse??🤣🤣 https://t.co/ULbyI2oAQw
LEBRON JERSEY SWAP SHUT DOWN
LeBron James’ plan to give Anthony Davis his 23 jersey has been shut down by Nike, as the switch would have hurt the footwear and apparel giant.
Davis has had the number 23 his entire career at the New Orleans Pelicans and after coming to the Lakers, James was set to give the number up and switch to number 6, the number he had at Miami.

Now it will have to wait another season as Nike said the jersey number issue needed to be worked out before March 15.
ESPN reported Nike would have been stuck with tens of millions of dollars in James 23 jerseys.
Told of Nike’s issues, James decided to postpone the move to avoid a distraction and respect those fans who had already purchased his 23 Lakers jersey.
James would have until March 15, 2020, to put in a number change request for the 2020-21 season.
Davis was quick to move on, revealing he will go with the number 3 for the next season.
It must have been a frustrating refusal for James, who announced Davis’ move with a picture of his new teammate’s new jersey — a #23.
He also posted on Instagram a picture of himself in the #6.

CURRY’S MESSAGE TO DURANT
Steph Curry and Kevin Durant were a big part of the Golden State Warriors’ championship years.
Durant joined the team from OKC Thunder and helped the side to the 2017 and 2018 championships.
After ending his time in Oakland with a ruptured achilles in the Warriors’ championship loss to the Toronto Raptors, he signed with the Brooklyn Nets, ending his time on the west coast.
Speaking about Durant’s departure, Curry offered a typically diplomatic answer.

“The three years that we had were special,” Curry said via The Mercury News. “With KD, we had three straight Finals appearances. We won two of them, and we accomplished a lot as a group. Everybody talks about the amount of talent that we had on our team, but that doesn’t guarantee that you can figure it out on the court, that you can put all the pieces together to be successful. I’m really proud of what we accomplished.
“The beauty of free agency is everybody has a decision, everybody has a choice. You want to find your happiness wherever that is. The beauty of the NBA is everybody has that decision at some point, especially guys that deserve it, like KD and other top free agents. I like to look at what we accomplished and focus on that and be extremely proud of this run that we had. Now we are going to have to recreate it in terms of what it means going forward.”
Without Durant, Andre Iguodala and Shaun Livingstone, the Warriors have added D’Angelo Russell to join Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green as the team’s core stars.
