Stanley Cup Final 2019: Bruins’ Matt Grzelcyk cleared, likely to play Game 7

Matt Grzelcyk will likely be a go for Game 7.

Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy on Wednesday announced the defenseman has been medically cleared from a concussion and is expected to play in the deciding game of the Stanley Cup Final against the Blues.

“He’ll be a game-time decision,” Cassidy told reporters . “But looks like he’ll go in.”

Grzelcyk has been out since suffering the head injury in Game 2 and the team was hopeful he could return as early as Game 5, though he remained in concussion protocol. However, Cassidy doesn’t expect Grzelcyk to miss a beat.
