Anthony Joshua and Prince Naz roar with laughter ahead of Usyk rematch

Boxing superstar Anthony Joshua is in a jovial mood ahead of his rematch against Oleksandr Usyk coming up in August after being seen joking around with Prince Naseem Hamed in Saudi Arabia.

While AJ is looking to rebuild his reputation after a damaging defeat in the first clash to the Ukrainian, he has taken time out of his promotion campaign across the gulf state to share a laugh with boxing icon Prince Naseem. In footage shared by Boxing King Media, the two Brits could be seen sharing a laugh.

The duo shook hands before embracing and roaring with laughter, posing for pictures. Prince Naseem, who held multiple world championships at featherweight during his reign, was renowned for his cocky persona and elaborate ring entrances.

In his prime, Naz was an absolute superstar across both the UK and the United States and lost just once in his career out of 37 fights but since retiring, the 48-year-old has ballooned in weight. That has not lightened his mood, though, and he recently said: "I'm the happiest I've ever been."

Usyk will be hoping to wipe the smile off Joshua's face when they take to the ring for a second time on August 20 in Saudi Arabia. The 35-year-old, who has moved up from cruiserweight, made mincemeat of the Brit in their first clash to land his belts.

It earmarks an incredible rise, with his victory over AJ making him one of just three boxers to unify the cruiserweight world titles and also become a world heavyweight champion, along with Evander Holyfield and David Haye.

Joshua said: “I feel when I go and beat Usyk, I’ll get the credit I deserve again. And I’ll get the admiration for being a true boxing legend. I fought for the heavyweight championship in my 16th fight; I felt like it’s kind of overlooked.

“I’m not just gonna go in there thinking it’s gonna be easy. I will address the weaknesses and then I’ll make sure I get it right and become champion again. I think it’s a task that’s definitely possible.”
