Dennis O’Connell, Paul Calderon and Chris Wilson gave Paul the victory by unanimous decision.
All three awarded Paul the first, fourth, six, seventh and eighth rounds in the eight-round catchweight fight, the last of which saw Paul knock Silva down with a thumping blow.
There was agreement on giving the 5th dan black belt taekwondo star the second and fifth rounds, with Calderon nominating Silva for the third too – but all others were scored for his opponent.
Statistics showed Paul landed 83 of his 336 punches (25 per cent) while Silva made 79 of his 251 (31 per cent), with Paul making 30 body shots as opposed to Silva’s 13, seeming to be rewarded for his increased activity as opposed to accuracy.
After remaining undefeated he called out UFC star Nate Diaz and boxing world champion Canelo Alvarez, saying: ‘I want Nate Diaz, who’s a b****.

Jake Paul reacts following the gruelling bout against Silva at Desert Diamond Arena, Arizona
‘He tried to come into my locker room, he tried to cause some s***. Then he always leaves the f***ing arena. So, Nate Diaz, stop being a b**** and fight me. And Canelo, you too.’
It was a spectacle in front of more than 14,000 fans that mixed boxing and all different types of celebrity, but the main draw was the 25-year-old Paul, who has shown a surprising knack for skills in the ring.
He’s also a master of self-promotion, riding up to Wednesday’s open workout on a horse and walking around Desert Diamond Arena on Saturday with two people in gigantic Transformers-like outfits behind him.
Silva (3-2) was the fan favorite, receiving loud cheers when he entered the ring. The 47-year-old built his fame as a UFC star but got his start in boxing and returned to the sport in 2020.
Paul and Silva’s eight-round catchweight bout was on a card that included former NFL running back Le´Veon Bell fighting recently retired UFC veteran Uriah Hall, along with a YouTube-famous primary care physician named Doctor Mike, who took on former MMA fighter Chris Avila.
