Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez and Caleb Plant embroiled in shocking BRAWL at the duo’s first press conference before their November bout, as American swings for Mexican after being shoved

Saul Alvarez and Caleb Plant’s first press conference ahead of their highly anticipated November fight erupted into a furious brawl. 

Formidable Mexican Alvarez, 31, will face the unbeaten Plant in a super-middleweight unification bout at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Paradise, Nevada on November 6.

Plant, 29, holds the IBF belt while four-division world champion ‘Canelo’ possesses the WBC, WBA, WBO and The Ring titles.

Plant, perhaps not expecting Alvarez’ sudden movement, seemed to stumble backwards 

The undefeated American then responded with aggression by throwing a punch at ‘Canelo’

The 31-year-old ducked Plant’s initial punch and began grappling with his future opponent

Representatives from both posses got involved in an ugly, unedifying spectacle on Tuesday

Talksport Online Boxing Editor Michael Benson tweeted: ‘WOW, Canelo Alvarez shoves Caleb Plant, who swings for him as they brawl at their first press conference…’ 

The winner of the fight, which is billed ‘On the Road to Undisputed’ will become the first undisputed super-middleweight champion of all time. 

‘Sweet Hands’ is currently 21-0, with 12 knockouts, while Alvarez has 56 wins from 59 fights, with 38 by knockout; he drew early in his career against Jorge Juarez, drew against Gennady Golovkin before beating him and lost against Floyd Mayweather.
