Over the years, Tyson Fury has never been afraid to play mind games and he stayed true to himself on Wednesday – but perhaps not in the way you may have thought.
After venturing into the world of WWE and harbouring plans to get into MMA, heavyweight boxer Fury has now tried his hand at promoting a fight close to home – between his father and Dana White.
UFC president White has previously scoffed at Fury’s desire to get into MMA, claiming that the 31-year-old would ‘get smashed’ if he entered the Octagon.

But in a furious defence of his son’s abilities, Fury’s dad, John, told the UFC chief to ‘keep my son’s name out of your mouth’ and has called for the two to fight it out.
And now Fury has weighed in on the matter – telling BT Sport: ‘Dana if you’re watching, grow a pair – sign a contract to fight my dad. Battle of the baldies.’
After White dismissed Fury over his UFC ambitions, his dad recently told iFL TV: ‘I could probably smash Dana White with one punch.
‘How can he write my son off like that? Let him talk to me like that. I’ll fight him… Keep my son’s name out of your mouth.

‘How does he know about smashing anybody when Tyson comes from a smashing family, you know what I’m saying?
‘When I can probably smash Dana White with one punch, you know what I’m saying?
‘So how can he write my son off like that? You can’t write a man off with Tyson’s ability or heart or will to win, and he knows that. He’s talking stupid.’
John has had a checkered past – he served four years of an 11-year prison sentence for gouging a man’s eye out.
Back in 2011, John plunged his finger into former friend Oathie Sykes’ eye, leaving him half blind and a long grudge seemingly sorted once and for all.
The feud began in 1999 when the pair fell out while drinking in Cyprus – then erupted 12 years later at a car auction.
