World’s Scariest Man and Iranian Hulk brawl offers big clue over fight winner

Things got heated between the World's Scariest Man – a.k.a. Martyn Ford – and the Iranian Hulk as they met for the first time ahead of their boxing showdown in April.

The two behemoths got into a bit of a scrap as they squared up to one another while promoting their bout in Dubai on Thursday.

Ford and the Iranian Hulk – real name Sajad Gharibi – will face each other at the O2 Arena on April 2, but if their scuffle is anything to go by, it doesn't look like Gharibi has much of a chance.

Following weeks of trash-talking, the two finally came face-to-face … well face-to-chest at least, with the 6ft 8in Ford towering over his opponent.

After several seconds of posturing, Gharibi launched himself into Ford's mid-rift and tried to tackle him to the floor.

But Ford barely moved, and instead turned the Iranian and threw him to the ground before the two were forcefully separated.

Minutes later, they were in each other's faces again, but this time it was Ford's turn to make the first move – violently shoving Gharibi in the chest and knocking him over.

In spite of the Hulk's impressive physique, he looked completely unable to contend with Ford's brute strength and stature and there won't be many backing him after watching the footage.

Both men have never boxed before, though Ford has trained in MMA for several years and said in a recent interview that he doesn't think Gharibi is going to "bring anything to the table".

"I just want to smash his head in," Ford told the Daily Mirror.

"It won’t give me any sense of achievement or pride to win, because I genuinely don’t think he will bring anything to the table that will allow me to be proud of myself.

"You can’t feel good about beating someone up that is useless. For me this is about settling some nonsense that has gone backwards and forwards for two or three years.

"This is not a sporting event, you can’t have an event with someone who looks like that," he added.

"That’s not a sportsman at all. This fight is purely for me to shut him and the other 200,000 fans of his. Once it is done it allows me to move forward."
