Justin Thomas was visibly upset when asked to give his response to news of Tiger Woods being involved in a serious car incident near Los Angeles on Tuesday morning. News emerged that Woods had been injured in a major crash where no other vehicle was involved.
Woods’ car is said to have rolled over multiple times with Woods having to be “extricated from the wreck”.
A statement by the LA County Sheriffs read: “On February 23, 2021, at approximately 7.12am, LASD responded to a single vehicle roll-over traffic collision on the border of Rolling Hills Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes.
“The vehicle was traveling northbound on Hawthorne Boulevard, at Blackhorse Road, when it crashed.
“The vehicle sustained major damage.

“The driver and sole occupant was identified as a PGA golfer, Eldrick ‘Tiger’ Woods.
“Mr. Woods was extricated from the wreck with the ‘jaws of life’ by Los Angeles County firefighters and paramedics, then transported to a local hospital by ambulance for his injuries.
Woods’ agent, Mark Steinberg, has since confirmed that Woods was rushed off to hospital to undergo surgery on “multiple leg injuries”.
Thomas, speaking ahead of the World Golf Championships-Workday Championship at The Concession, was asked for his reaction to the breaking news.
And the 27-year-old was visibly shaken by the news, saying he was “sick to his stomach”.
“It hurts to see one of my closest friends get in an accident and man I just hope he’s alright,” Thomas said.
“I just worry for his kids, I’m sure they’re struggling.”
