The 2020 U.S. Open is proving a formidable task for golfers at the Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, N.Y.
At the start of Round 2 competition on Friday, only 10 golfers have a score better than par, while only nine have achieved par. And the conditions stand to get harder for golfers as the tournament progresses and the greens get faster.
Of course, there have already been plenty of highlight-reel shots, including long putts, beautiful approaches, eagles and even a hole in one. That looks to continue in Friday’s Round 2 and on into weekend play.
