Australia’s top men’s golfer also chasing victory

It promises to be a huge morning for Australian golf with the men’s world No.3 Cameron Smith chasing down another US PGA Tour victory in Jack Nicklaus’ Memorial event at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Ohio.

We’ll try to bring you updates from that tournament throughout the morning.

But for now our focus will be on Minjee Lee, arguably one of Australia’s most under-appreciated athletes as she closes in on a second major after her breakthrough win in the Evian Championship last year.

Welcome to the final round of the US Open

Good morning and welcome to our live coverage of the final round of the US Open as Australia’s world No.4 Minjee Lee closes in on victory and the biggest payday in women’s golf history.

We’ll be taking you right through until the 72nd hole – and more if required – from Pine Needles Lodge and Golf Club in North Carolina with the winner to pocket a cool $2.5 million.

Tokyo Olympian Lee started the final round three shots ahead of American Mina Harigae and will be hoping for a nerveless final round.
