A woeful draw has trainer Bjorn Baker mulling over his plan of attack with Missybeel and Positive Peace in Saturday’s Group 3 Angst Stakes (1600m) at Randwick.
The Warwick Farm conditioner had both contenders draw off the track in the feature with Missybeel in the visitor’s draw in barrier 16 and Positive Peace inside her in gate 11.
“We will see how the day unfolds but we will definitely look at riding Missybeel quieter,” Baker said.
“It is just a shocking gate and I don’t think she has got the early toe to be up there with those horses.
“Positive Peace, we won’t change anything with her, she will just hopefully lob in the first four or five with some cover.”
Positive Peace won a Group 2 Emancipation Stakes in the autumn before finishing seventh in the Group 1 Queen Of The Turf Stakes and appears to have returned in similarly strong form in the spring.

The Stratum mare was outstanding second-up when racing without luck and flashing home to grab fourth in the Group 2 Golden Pendant last month.
“Her run last time was super and if she gets clear air she definitely runs in the money,” Baker said.
“Last run she proved that her Group 2 win in the autumn was no fluke.”
Josh Parr pilots Positive Peace with Ryan Maloney set to ride Missybeel.
A Group 3 winner earlier this year, Missybeel is looking to bounce back from a tough run in the Group 3 Tibbie Stakes last start where she finished unplaced.
“Her first-up run was great and then second-up she had no luck with the gate that could well be the case on Saturday,” Baker said.
“We will at least give her the chance to finish off and once she gets up over a bit further, she will better again.”
Positive Peace is $6.50 second elect with TAB.com.au while Missybeel is a $34 outsider.
