9:14 a.m. — Top o’ the morning from the Coliseum, where we’re smelling an upset to go along with the coffee. No. 7 Riverdale Ridge leads No. 2 and unbeaten D’Evelyn at the half, 22-20. Freshman Ravens star Bri Crittendon has eight at the break, while Peyton Marvel is pacing D’Evelyn with 14 points. –– Sean Keeler
8:45 a.m. — We’re about to tip things off for Day 2 inside Denver Coliseum. The second day begins with No. 2 D’Evelyn (25-0) taking on No. 7 Riverdale Ridge (22-3) in the Class 4A girls quarterfinals as fab freshman Bri Crittendon makes her state basketball debut. — Matt Schubert
