Chris Bosh sends LeBron James message after pair embrace ahead of Lakers vs Heat

LeBron James was spotted hugging it out pre-game with retired NBA power forward and former teammate Chris Bosh before the Los Angeles Lakers’ clash with the Miami Heat.

James and Bosh won back-to-back NBA championships together with the Heat in 2012 and 2013 and reached four successive Finals.

Bosh, who had his number retired by the Heat at the end of last season after spending seven years there, was forced to call it a day after dealing with blood clots.

Along with James Wade, LeBron and Bosh were almost unstoppable during their time in Miami and all three men share a special bond together.

And this was no more evident than on Friday night ahead of the Lakers visit to AmericanAirlines Arena to play the Heat.

James and Bosh shared a lovely embrace courtside for the Lakers’ lone visit this season.

Bosh is often the forgotten member of the Heat’s big three from the earlier part of this decade, but it’s hard to overstate his importance to those teams as well as his importance to the evolution of the game of basketball.

By being able to protect the rim on defense and space the floor on offense, Bosh provided a blueprint for big men of the future to play in what is now known as the “Pace and Space” era.

The Lakers came into the game with an NBA best 22-3 record to lead the West while the Heat have also started their season well and sit second in the East on 18-6.

James has left his mark on nearly every player he has suited up with during his storied NBA career and it was no different with Bosh.

Speaking about playing alongside the Lakers man, Bosh recently said: “Playing with LeBron was like buying a Ferrari.
