Durant to debut for Suns on Wed. vs. Hornets
Kevin Durant is expected to make his Phoenix Suns debut Wednesday against the Charlotte Hornets, the team announced Tuesday.
Durant has been out since suffering a right MCL sprain on Jan. 8. He took part in all of an intense two-hour workout and scrimmage with Phoenix last week, but still missed Sunday’s loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Suns landed the 13-time All-Star in a blockbuster deal with the Brooklyn Nets ahead of the trade deadline earlier this month.
Durant is averaging nearly 30 points per game while shooting 55.9% from the field. He joins a Suns team that is a 0.5 game up on the LA Clippers for the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference.
