Jrue Holiday earns New Orleans Pelicans win with 37 points against Detroit Pistons

Jrue Holiday produced an offensive masterclass to score 37 points in the New Orleans Pelicans’ victory over the Detroit Pistons.

With the Pelicans’ talisman Anthony Davis struggling with a hip injury, Holiday stepped up to fill the scoring void as he went 14-22 from the floor and 6-10 from three-point range.

Holiday started brightly with 11 points in the first quarter, including a floating buzzer-beater to end the opening period.

The 28-year-old guard continued to dominate in the second half, using his strength to score as he was fouled in the paint.

Holiday then made a timely three-pointer and clutch jump-shot off the window to end the Pistons’ hopes of a comeback and seal a 116-108 victory.
