Former NBA star Delonte West is recovering from an attack, his former agent Aaron Goodwin has told TMZ Sports.
Goodwin confirmed to the outlet that West is the man seen in a pair of videos that surfaced on Monday. One video shows an interview with an incoherent West, who is clearly upset after the attack. The video has more than 7 million views on Twitter as NBA fans and players shared their concerns.

The person who shared the video said they did not film it themselves, adding that the person called police to help.
“She was not in a position to go break up a fight between grown men,” she said about the video. “I agree someone should’ve stopped to help but it’s also dangerous.”
Goodwin told TMZ Sports West has “a support system around him, but his close friends and family members need more help.” The outlet also reported the NBA has offered to help its former player in the wake of these videos.
As the video continued to be spread around, several athletes and fans voiced their concern. Former NFL receiver Dez Bryant said he’d be willing to help.
Former NBA player Jameer Nelson also posted a lengthy response to the troubling videos.
Phil Martelli, who used to coach West in college at Saint Joseph’s shared Nelson’s statement and added: “Over the past several hours I have talked with many who are willing to help — please read and embrace Jameer’s wisdom — we are reaching out to our basketball network to get the professional help Delonte needs. This is so very painful.”
West played eight seasons in the NBA, spending time on four different teams. He also played on two teams in the Chinese Basketball Association. His last professional experience was with the G-League’s Texas Legends.
