NFL fans apologise to Russell Wilson with Lamar Jackson set to win MVP award
Lamar Jackson put in another virtuoso performance against the LA Rams last night – and he’s now hotly tipped to win the prestigious MVP award.
The 22-year-old has been a standout performer for the Baltimore Ravens this season.
And he looked the real deal once again as his side blew away the Rams with a 45-6 win.
Jackson threw five touchdowns as he reinforced his credentials as one of the most exciting young quarterbacks of the decade.
Despite the Ravens being on the road, the LA crowd serenaded Jackson with chants of ‘M-V-P’ in the closing minutes.
Earlier in the season, Jackson looked far from being a certain winner of the MVP award, though.

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is also having a standout campaign pulling the strings for Pete Carroll’s side.
NFL fans, however, have now apologised to Wilson with Jackson stealing the plaudits in week 12.
“Jackson is the MVP, the race is over, this kid is blowing out everyone in the discussion – looking at you Russell Wilson,” said one fan.
“Jackson is the MVP we don’t deserve. Sorry Russell Wilson,” added a second.
“I’m a big Russell Wilson fan… but Lamar Jackson is the 2019 NFL MVP,” said a third.
“As much as I love Russell Wilson and think he's the most underrated player of our generation (and needs an MVP before he retires), the race is basically over,” explained one more.
“Lamar Jackson should be handed the MVP like right now. The future of the NFL looks bright as hell with these young QBs.”
The Ravens cruised to a 30-16 win over the Seahawks in October.
Another NFL aficionado pointed out that the result is an additional blot on Wilson’s record.
“Lamar Jackson is fun to watch and playing lights out,” said a fan.
“Russell Wilson stats are MVP worthy. But given the fact that the ravens blew the Seahawks out in Seattle that counts for something. Right now Lamar Jackson is box office for the NFL
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh hailed Jackson as his side went 9-2.
“That’s just operating at the highest level you can operate as a quarterback,” he explained.
