Cowboys’ Stephen Jones jabs Raiders over Amari Cooper trade

The Cowboys don’t regret giving up a first-round pick for Amari Cooper.

Dallas executive vice president and director of player personnel Stephen Jones was asked at the NFL Combine on Tuesday how it would be this year without having a first-round pick.

“When the Raiders pick with our pick, we’ll be watching Amari (Cooper) highlight tape,” he said, via The Athletic.

Oakland infamously gave up Cooper to the Cowboys for what turned out to be 27th pick in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Cooper went on to haul in 53 passes for 725 yards and six touchdowns in nine games in Dallas.

He is a free agent after the 2019 season, but the team plans to extend him, according to the Star-Telegram.
