Carlos Hyde on the Jaguars? Doug Martin an RB2? Le’Veon Bell…at all? (Update: Bell is already out of our rankings after failing to report to Steelers facilities on Monday.) What the hell is going on with our Week 8 fantasy RB rankings? Hey, we don’t make make the news, we just react to it, and with four teams on bye plus the usual spate of mid-season running back injuries, things are officially shaken up.
While all eyes will be on Pittsburgh this week, there are plenty of other running back situations to watch. Leonard Fournette (hamstring) is once again expected to be out, so how will carries be divvied up between T.J. Yeldon and Hyde? Doug Martin is starting with Marshawn Lynch (groin) out, which is frightening for all involved, and the weekly Dalvin Cook (hamstring) saga will continue into Sunday night. Other injuries are sure to pop up throughout the week and cause plenty of start/sit headaches — namely LeSean McCoy and Sony Michel, both of whom play on Monday night.
Week 8 Rankings:
Quarterback | Wide Receiver | Tight End | D/ST | Kicker
Matchup-wise, the Broncos-Chiefs, Bucs-Bengals, and 49ers-Cardinals games figure to be RB bonanzas on both sides of the ball, while the Eagles-Jaguars and Saints-Vikings could find yards to come by for RBs, at least on the ground.
Note: We’ll be updating our RB rankings throughout the week, so check back often!
