Why is Lamar Jackson ‘questionable’ for Week 3?

You might see a little red “Q” next to Jackson’s name on your fantasy roster, and that’s because he missed practice on Thursday. Originally, it was first thought this was because he injured his hip after he flipped into the end zone against the Chiefs in Week 2. Now, it appears he’s just dealing with a “little stomach bug,” and his Week 3 availability is not reasonably in question. If something crazy happens, Tyler Huntley would start for Baltimore, but that possibility is probably less than one percent.

Jackson will continue to run wild and has a matchup with Detroit in Week 3. He’s our QB2 for the week.

Is Carson Wentz playing in Week 3?

Wentz missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday due to his two sprained ankles. Suffice it to say, his chances of playing in Week 3 (@ TEN) look very slim. If he does play, it’s hard to have confidence in starting him, even against a bad Titans’ defense.

One would think Jacob Eason would take over as the starting QB, but Brett Hundley has taken the majority of the first-team reps in practice for Indianapolis. For now, we don’t know if it’ll be Wentz, Eason, or Hundley, but either way, keep the Colts’ QB1 on the bench. I know it’s disappointing to let a matchup with the Titans’ secondary go to waste.

On a side note, Jonathan Taylor is about the only Colts player you can feel comfortable starting this week, though WRs Michael Pittman Jr. and Zach Pascal still have some upside as boom-or-bust WR3s. At the very least, they’re in play in DFS tournaments.
