Brazilian Grand Prix LIVE: Updates as Verstappen battles Hamilton and Vettel at Interlagos

Max Verstappen starts on pole at Interlagos having beaten off competition from previous Brazilian Grand Prix winners Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton on Saturday.

The Red Bull driver experienced heartache at the Sao Paulo circuit last year having clashed with Esteban Ocon as he led the race, going on to finish second.

Charles Leclerc begins the Brazilian Grand Prix in fourth but can sew up third behind Mercedes duo Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas in the drivers’ standings as long as he outscores Verstappen by 13 points and Ferrari team-mate Vettel by eight.

There are also precious points up for grabs for the 10 constructors and Express Sport will be providing live updates as the race happens in Brazil.
