Charles Leclerc was seen enjoying his Formula 1 summer break whilst holidaying on a yacht off the coast of Sardinia. The F1 season is taking a four-week break from racing, giving drivers the chance to wind down and enjoy a well-deserved holiday midway through the campaign.
One man who is making the most of it is Leclerc, who has decided to take his break in the Mediterranean. The Monegasque driver took to the water with his girlfriend Alexandra Saint Mleux. 21-year-old Mleux and Leclerc currently find themselves in the early stages of their relationship after they reportedly began dating this summer.
The Ferrari man had only recently come out of a three-year relationship with ex-partner Charlotte Sine. The new couple were pictured getting cosy on the boat as they enjoyed each other’s company.
Leclerc was also seen waterskiing as he enjoyed some water sports and the pair soaked up the sun on board the luxury yacht.

Whilst the time off will be a welcome break for Leclerc, it may well have come at the wrong time for the Ferrari star, after he made a return to the podium with a third-place finish at last week’s Belgian Grand Prix.
Leclerc has had an indifferent season in 2023 so far, having initially been tipped to be one of Max Verstappen’s closest competitors after impressing last season. Things have not gone to plan for Ferrari and the 25-year-old though.
Leclerc currently finds himself in fifth position in the driver standings, having picked up just three podium finishes in 13 races this season. Off the track, things have been complicated too, with his future up in the air.

The 25-year-old’s current Ferrari contract comes to an end at the end of 2024. Rumours then suggested he was set to extend his stay with the Italian-based team, but Leclerc himself was quick to rubbish these claims before the summer break.
Per Italian publication Corriere dello Sport, he said: “The discussions about the contract haven’t started yet, but everything is clear to me, I love Ferrari and I want to win here. That is my priority.
“Apart from the love for Ferrari that has always existed and continues to exist, I share many things with Fred [Vasseur, team principal], and many of them have to do with plans for the future. We are aligned. I know what is coming and I have faith.”
