F1 fans convinced Fernando Alonso ‘is dating Taylor Swift’ after devilish TikTok

Some F1 fans have been left convinced Fernando Alonso is dating Taylor Swift after he posted a TikTok video accompanied by one of her hits.

The two-time world champion has been linked with Swift, with the DeuxMoi Instagram account recently quoting an anonymous email reading: “A couple of Spanish magazines have been posting about TS [Swift] and Spanish F1 driver Fernando Alonso. The post added: “According to them, the couple has been seeing each other for a week now. Nothing serious tho since they are both recently single.”

Swift split from long-term boyfriend Joe Alwyn earlier this month, while Alonso recently revealed he had parted ways with TV presenter girlfriend Andrea Schlager, who regularly interviews F1 drivers.

Amid rumours of the celebrity romance, the Aston Martin driver has posted a cheeky five-second video which shows him looking at his phone with one of Swift’s songs, Karma, playing in the background.

The 41-year-old then looks up, smiles and winks at the camera. The post was captioned 'Race week era' in an apparent nod to Swift’s current Eras tour. He also commented on the post, writing: “Feeling 33” with a smiley emoji in what could be a reference to Swift's song '22'.

Whether the rumours are true are not, it has set tongues wagging amongst fans of the pair. At the time of writing, with the post had attracted more than 10,000 comments, one poster screaming: “THE TAYLOR SWIFT RUMOURS MIGHT BE TRUE.” Another said: “This isn't going to help those rumours, sir.”

A third asked: “Nando, would you like to tell the class something????

A number of fans believe Alonso is merely playing along with the rumour, with one fan writing: “YOU DID THIS ON PURPOSE, YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING ALONSO.” Another said: “I think he knows…”

Alonso may be asked about the rumour when the F1 season resumes in Azerbaijan this weekend after a four-week break.
