Spanish Grand Prix preview at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya
F1 fans are concerned Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg still have a difficult relationship years after their F1 rivalry came to an end. The former team-mates were reunited after the Spanish Grand Prix as Rosberg conducted the post-race interviews.
The duo discussed Mercedes’ superb double podium as the Silver Arrows look to close the gap to Red Bull. However, fans noticed Hamilton appeared to prematurely walk away from Rosberg as the interview came to its close.
Towards the end of their chat, Rosberg said: “Good to see you.” The 2016 champion continued talking, adding: “I’ll see if I can…”
However, Hamilton quickly cut off the German star and walked off camera, simply replying; “Thank you. Cheers.” The incident was quickly picked up by eagle-eyed fans on social media after the Grand Prix.

Some even suggested Hamilton may still dislike Rosberg seven years after their epic title duel. @hamburgerh0tdog said: “Not Lewis Hamilton just walking away after saying thank you to Nico Rosberg saying ‘nice to see you’.”
@paddock2go added: “To summarise Nico Rosberg: still not over Lewis Hamilton. Lewis Hamilton: still hates Nico Rosberg.” @ScreamingSushii remarked: “Lol, Hamilton still mad about that crash and losing the ‘16 championship to Rosberg.”
It came just hours after Rosberg demanded Hamilton apologise to team-mate George Russell after a clash in qualifying. The two drivers made contact on the start-finish straight as they battled for track position in Q2.

After the session, Rosberg called out Hamilton for not speaking to his team-mate after potentially compromising his run. He said: “George apologised, which I think is right.
“But I think Lewis also needs to apologise because if Lewis goes through George’s lap is done, because then Lewis is right in front and George will be stuck behind him and his lap will be ruined – and it’s his last try to get into Q3. So also Lewis, I think, would need to apologise later on.”
Some Twitter users suggested Rosberg’s comments may have played a part in Hamilton’s reaction. @James_Tati posted: “Lewis has been seeing the things Nico has been saying all weekend we love to see it.”
@Tsishi added: “Obviously the guy passed on the msg from Nico at qualifying.”
Rosberg and Hamilton’s relationship quickly turned sour when they were partnered up at Mercedes. He has since confirmed their friendship fell apart “immediately” when the Silver Arrows were challenging at the sharp end of the grid for world championships. After retiring, the 2016 champion admitted he wanted to rebuild a connection with his former team-mate.
