Hamilton opens up on plans to remain in F1 ahead of 2023 season

Lewis Hamilton is set to be offered a bumper £40million contract to race at Ferrari next season, according to the Daily Mail. It is understood discussions over the move have been held at the Italian marque with president John Elkann already in talks with the seven-time champion.

The move would see Hamilton line-up alongside Charles Leclerc, putting pressure on Spanish driver Carlos Sainz. However, they have not ruled out swapping the two stars with the Monegasque heading Mercedes to secure Hamilton’s services.

Meanwhile, Lando Norris gatecrashed Max Verstappen’s virtual racing live stream and took part in races alongside the Red Bull star.

Lewis Hamilton to be offered Ferrari deal

Lewis Hamilton is expected to be offered a massive £40million deal to join Ferrari next season.

Two options for the move are believed to be on the table such is the team’s determination to sign the Mercedes star.

One would see Hamilton line up alongside Charles Leclerc with Carlos Sainz getting dropped.

But, they could also do a straight swap with Leclerc joining Mercedes while Hamilton heads to the Scuderia.

Lando Norris gatecrashes Max Verstappen event

Lando Noris took part in Max Verstappen’s virtual racing event on Sunday despite not being on the guest list.

Norris was hosting a watch along of Verstappen’s Real Racers Never Quit broadcast on Sunday afternoon.

However, Norris set up a steering weasel and joined in for the Formula Ford races.

He quickly caused a stir, edging past Verstappen as the two enjoyed a fierce battle

At one stage, Norris shouted: “MV1, eat my dust, baby.”
