AC/DC set to rock Fox League’s NRL finals coverage

Rock royalty will ring in the rest of the NRL season with Fox League inking a landmark deal with AC/DC.

The Australian superstars new track “Shot In The Dark” will feature across the NRL Finals series, marking the first time a sports broadcaster has teamed up with the world-famous band.

The partnership includes in a promo video featuring the highlights of the 2020 season’s young guns including Josh Addo-Carr, Nathan Cleary, Maika Sivo, Kalyn Ponga, Jack Wighton and Cody Walker.

The new song is AC/DC’s first release in six years and will be aired in coverage of the final two weeks of the NRL season.

Fox Sports executive director Steve Crawley welcomed the partnership, crediting “great mate” Sony music boss Denis Handlin with orchestrating the collaboration.

“When Denis rings and says he can get AC/DC to play their new track in our Finals broadcasts, you can’t believe it,” Crawley said.

“But you better believe it because it’s happening from this weekend. Bloody hell.”

It comes as the band prepares to release their new album Pwr Up on November 13.
