Ajax’s new star Brian Brobbey has a “dream” of playing for Manchester United – but Mino Raiola could scupper his hopes.

The 19-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough in the Dutch side, scoring two goals in six senior games.

It comes in his third season with the famous Jong Ajax side, which has produced the likes of Matthijs De Ligt, Frenkie de Jong and Donny van de Beek.

And the U17 international scored his first European goal for the club on Thursday, hitting the net in the 89th minute for a 2-1 win over Lille.

Despite only playing 145 minutes of senior football, speculation emerged via the Mail that Real Madrid were “eyeing” the forward.

But Spanish outlet Marca have reported that he has his sights on joined a another club where the trend of growing young talent is strong.

Brobbey, who academy director Marc Overmars confirmed would leave on his contract expiration date this summer, has “dreamed” of playing for United after making it with the Dutch side.

With the 19-year-old set to leave and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer bringing in teenagers such as Amad Diallo, it would be a good fit.

His desire to leave Ajax, though, is fuelled by agent Mino Raiola, who the Premier League giants have endured a tough relationship with.

The Italian was the man who declared Paul Pogba’s career “over” last month while continue to suggest the £89m man could leave over the summer.

And the reports states it would be “no surprise” if the super-agent decided to scupper Brobbey’s dreams by sending him to another club.
