Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold’s pre-match footage before taking on Arsenal shows a masterclass was inevitable.
The Englishman played a vital role in a 3-0 win for the Reds in north London, with the full-back providing the assist for Diogo Jota’s opener after 64 minutes.
It saw fans heap praise on the 22-year-old, who had suffered heavy criticism from England boss Gareth Southgate during the international break.
This came after a season which has seen Alexander-Arnold suffer a calf injury and see his performances get criticised, even breaking his own record for losing possession.
Footage has emerged, though, which shows the Englishman was ready to get back to his best at the Emirates Stadium.
The full-back whipped in one of his famous crosses for Jota to open the scoring with a header during the game.
And it was a move he was practicing in the warm-up, slamming the crosses into the six-yard box for a header into the back of the net from a team-mate.
The footage was shared by broadcaster Alison Bender, who said that the 22-year-old had been practicing the move “over and over”.
Alexander-Arnold’s role in the Arsenal win was his 35th appearance of the season, only winning 18 of those fixtures.
And that led to the defender being snubbed for the last international break, with Southgate warning he could fail to make the squad for the rescheduled Euro 2020.
But manager Jurgen Klopp has suggested that the Englishman should take a different message from the Three Lions boss.
He said earlier this week: “He was not with the national team now so he had time to train.

“He trained at an extremely high level and he showed a reaction when there is no need to do so. He was really ‘in’ the sessions so that was good. He enjoyed the sessions a lot.
“He is a very ambitious boy, so I am sure he wants to be in the England squad. I know he wants to be in the England squad and he will try everything to be there again.
“If Trent Alexander-Arnold is not in the squad of England then England must have an extremely good squad. Let me say it like this.”
