Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta reportedly has six transfer targets in mind to keep Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang happy. The Gabon international’s contract at the Emirates expires next year and, so far, he’s not signed an extension. And it appears the north London giants are now planning a spending spree to try and keep their talisman content.
Arsenal will have Europa League football next season after being Chelsea 2-1 in the FA Cup final on Saturday.
The Gunners fell behind early on to a Christian Pulisic strike, with the USA international giving the Blues a deserved lead.
However, Arsenal then responded through the excellent Aubameyang – who scored twice to win Arteta’s side the trophy.
After the game he refused to open up on his future, instead insisting he was solely focused on celebrating their cup final triumph.
And Le10 Sport say Arsenal have six targets in mind as they look to keep the Gabon international happy.
It’s claimed that Philippe Coutinho is on their radar, with the Gunners hoping to bring the Barcelona flop in on loan.

Coutinho has spent the season on loan at Bayern Munich but failed to sparkle at the Allianz Arena and won’t be moving to Bavaria in a permanent deal.
Arsenal also have Lyon pair Moussa Dembele and Memphis Depay under consideration, with the pair both impressing amid a difficult season over in France.
Arteta is an admirer of Wolves’ Raul Jimenez and may swoop for the Mexico international, too, particularly with Alexandre Lacazette’s future up in the air.
And other targets include Newcastle’s Allan Saint-Maximin and Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Partey, who have both caught the eye with some impressive displays.
Meanwhile, regarding Aubameyang, Arsenal have been warned that Manchester United or Liverpool could swoop for the forward by Glen Johnson.
“Yeah I think you’re right [he’ll want Champions League football],” Johnson told Stadium Astro of the prolific frontman.

“I think there’s two different equations – if you’re Arsenal Football Club you have to do anything possible to keep hold of him.
“As Aubameyang, he’s 30, and Arsenal aren’t winning the league in the next four years. That’s a fact, they’re miles away from it.
“So in four years’ time, Aubameyang is not going to be the same player.
“For him personally, if he wants to win trophies – it sounds silly after them winning the FA Cup of course, but trophies like the league or playing in the Champions League then of course he needs to move on.
“But he seems to enjoy his football there, and these strikers are hard to come by.
“If you want to go and buy a striker now that’s going to get you 20 goals a season, you’re talking £100million.

“Arsenal have that player so as a club they need to do all they can to keep him.
“Liverpool would take him, City would take him, United would take him – everyone would take him.
“For him personally he might look elsewhere but he does seem to enjoy the lads and he does seem to enjoy Arsenal Football Club so maybe he will stay.”
Arteta wants Aubameyang to stay, saying after the Chelsea game: “He knows what I think about him. I want to build the squad around him.
“I think he wants to stay and it is just about getting the deal done. But I think these moments will help him to realise and believe that we are in the right path and he is a big part of that.
“He is loved by everybody at the club. Hopefully he can continue with us. Will he extend? I think he will, yes.”
