According to Libertad Digital, Arsenal are ‘furious’ about the situation as they believe Atletico are trying to devalue Torreira’s price tag.
The Uruguayan made 89 appearances for the North London side, scoring four goals and claiming six assists before joining Atletico.
Both clubs agreed on a season long loan deal with no obligation to buy the player that joined Arsenal for £26million in 2018.
However, Arsenal did not know Atletico would look to sign Geoffrey Kondogbia from Valencia last November. As a result, Torreira fell down the pecking order in Simeone’s side.

Atletico were said to be livid with Arsenal for meeting Partey’s £45million release clause on the final day of the transfer window with no prior warning.
However, the Atletico boss has reportedly denied claims that the club are deliberately trying to devaluate Torreira.
