Arsenal are reportedly interested in a double swoop for Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez as Manchester City consider selling the wingers in the summer transfer window. Sterling is said to be at the top of a list of players City could sell following Saturday’s Champions League final as Pep Guardiola refines his squad.
City face Chelsea in Porto on Saturday bidding to complete a treble after winning the Premier League title and Carabao Cup this season.
Sterling does not look likely to start in Portugal, having dropped down the pecking order this season with Guardiola preferring to play Phil Foden on the left of the attack for big games.
Mahrez, by contrast, has been on top form on City’s right flank and has been instrumental in the team’s title triumph and run to the Champions League final.
But City are reportedly ready to listen to offers for both players this summer with boss Guardiola aiming to oversee the evolution of his squad.

That’s according to a report from the Daily Mail, which claims Arsenal are interested in both players.
Boss Mikel Arteta needs to strengthen his squad this summer after the Gunners ended the season eighth in the Premier League and without a trophy.
However, there is some doubt over whether Arsenal can finance moves for the City stars.
Sterling is on wages of around £300,000 per week – more than the Gunners’ top earner Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – with Mahrez earning around £120,000 per week, according to Spotrac.

Both players are out of contract in 2023 but would likely cost in excess of £60million each, while the North London club’s lack of European football next season would also count against them.
City have been linkd with moves for the likes of Tottenham star Harry Kane, Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland and Aston Villa ace Jack Grealish in the summer transfer window.
However, to fund moves for those players they may need to sell, with striker Gabriel Jesus and centre-half Aymeric Laporte also said to be vulnerable.
Laporte has seen his place in City’s defence taken by John Stones this season, although he has performed well when called upon in crucial games.
And Jesus faces increased competition for a place in the side from the likes of Foden and Ferran Torres, while Guardiola’s preference to play with a false nine has also had an impact on the Brazilian’s game time.
