Arsenal ready to let William Saliba join Premier League club next season

Arsenal ace William Saliba will be sent out on loan against next season with the club willing to let him join a Premier League club in order to gain experience of the division.

The Frenchman joined the Gunners in 2019 for a fee of around £30million from Saint-Etienne but he’s yet to make a single appearance for the Gunners and was sent out on loan to Nice in January after being left out of Arsenal’s Premier League and Europa League squads.

David Luiz departed Arsenal earlier this month but the Gunners are targeting Ben White as his replacement, with Brighton having rejected Arsenal’s opening bid of around £40m.

Should White arrive at the Emirates, that would leave little place for Saliba and the Daily Mail claim Arsenal want to send him on loan to a Premier League club.

Newcastle United are said to have shown interest in the Frenchman and it’s felt that a move in England would be a step-up from playing in Ligue 1.

Nice are keen to keep hold of Saliba but Arsenal feel his development would be aided by a season in the Premier League.

Arsenal’s finances are tight and Mikel Arteta has been made aware that he’s working on a tight budget this summer.

The club have already lost Dani Ceballos, Luiz and Martin Odegaard, while Hector Bellerin, Ainsley Maintland-Niles and Joe Willock could be sold.

Arteta wants to sign a centre-back, a right-back, a central midfielder and a new goalkeeper.

Anderlecht midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga has agreed personal terms with the Gunners but a fee is yet to be agreed with the Belgian club, who are seeking £20m.
