Arsenal have signed Swedish forward Nikolaj Moller from Malmo – a player nicknamed after Zlatan Ibrahimovic at one of his former clubs.
The 18-year-old joined on Monday ahead of the transfer deadline with Arsenal paying around £450,000 for him.
Moller has agreed a four-year contract at the Emirates Stadium and will play in Steve Bould’s under-23 squad rather than Mikel Arteta’s first team for the time being.

Moller was nicknamed ‘Ibra’ when he played for Bologna after Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic
A statement on Arsenal’s website read: ‘Nikolaj Moller has joined us from Swedish side Malmo. He will link up with our Professional Development Phase this season.
‘The 18-year-old centre forward is a powerful striker and prolific goalscorer. He has spent most of his youth career in Sweden, but recently spent time on loan in Italy at Bologna’s academy.
‘We all welcome Nikolaj to Arsenal and look forward to watching his development with us. The deal is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.’

It was at Bologna during the past two seasons that Moller was given the nickname ‘Ibra’ after Ibrahimovic and Arsenal will hope there are more similarities than just a nickname and the same first club.
Moller scored three goals in 19 appearances for Bologna’s under-17 team in the B division of Italy’s national league at that age group.
Moller is just the latest player to join the Gunners’ under-23 ranks with George Lewis, Tim Akinola and Jonathan Dinzeyi also arriving this summer.
