Mikel Arteta has warned the Arsenal source who leaked a spat between David Luiz and Dani Ceballos there will be “consequences”.
Rumours emerged of a training ground bust-up between the pair, with the Brazilian defender taking a swipe at the Real madrid loanee.
And the midfielder was even left with blood on his face following a challenge on the centre-back.
But the Arsenal boss has spoken out with a fierce warning about the story.
Speaking in the pre-match press conference, Arteta said: “I don't like the fact that that incident comes out at all.
“I will find out where it is coming from and if that is the case, that goes completely against what I expect from each other, the privacy and the confidentiality that we need, and there will be consequences.”
The Gunners boss went on to give his take of the alleged incident as the players trained away from their countries in the latest international break.
He added: “Training is very competitive and issues happen a lot of times. Those things get resolved immediately within the team and there is not much to say.
“There is no problem at all.”
Ceballos angrily denied the reports on Thursday night, quote tweeting The Athletic journalist David Ornstein’s post about the story and writing: “FAKE”.
The Spaniard was involved in a heated exchange with another Arsenal player earlier in the season, with TV cameras picking up a scuffle between him and striker Eddie Nketiah prior to their opening-day Premier League win away at Fulham.
Nketiah and Ceballos appeared to square up to one another during the Gunners’ warm-up at Craven Cottage, but come full time the pair had solved their differences.
Arsenal will look to bounce back from a stinging defeat against Aston Villa when they go away to Leeds on Sunday, having been thrashed 3-0 by Dean Smith’s men last time out.
It comes as Arteta is battling with the problem of facing Marcelo Biela's side without midfielders Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elneny.
