Aston Villa have had a mixed start to the Premier League season as they look to improve on an impressive season under boss Dean Smith.
It's been all change at Villa Park this summer, with Jack Grealish's British record £100m transfer to champions Manchester City paving the way for a trio of exciting attacking additions.
Championship player of the year Emi Buendia, electric Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey and prolific striker Danny Ings have all bolstered Smith's squad with big money moves to the Midlands.
Manchester United's Axel Tuanzebe has also returned for another loan spell, while Ashley Young joined on a one-year-deal.
But Villa's business may not be done just yet as we approach the final hours of the transfer window.
Here, Daily Star Sport rounds up all the latest transfer news surrounding Villa Park…
Villa target Liverpool star Jones
Villa are ready to 'sound out' a move for Liverpool starlet Curtis Jones before the transfer deadline, reports The Sun.
It is claimed that Smith could try his luck with a £15m bid for Jones, who is yet to cement his place in Jurgen Klopp's regular first-team plans at Anfield.
Jones is said to be happy to stay on Merseyside and a move would appear unlikely at this stage given how highly he is rated by the Reds.
Smith's Hourihane update
Villa boss Smith has admitted midfielder Conor Hourihane could leave the club to seek regular playing opportunities.
The Republic of Ireland international spent the second half of last season out on loan at Swansea, but captained Villa in the 6-0 Carabao Cup thrashing over Barrow.
"I think we saw last January that Conor wants to be playing football so, if there is an option there that suits both parties, then we will look at that," Smith said.
"If there is not then Conor knows I am more than happy to have him in our squad. He captained the team on Tuesday night and played really well."

Burnley's capture of winger Ivory Coast international Maxwel Cornet could potentially prompt the sale of Dwight McNeil, the Birmingham Mail has suggested.
Villa and Everton have both been linked with a move for McNeil in recent months, and the talented wide man could bolster Smith's attacking options.
The Liverpool Echo reported earlier this summer that McNeil would cost up to £25m this summer, but it remains to be seen whether there will be any late movement from Villa or the Toffees over a late bid.
Villa have already signed winger Leon Bailey, while Andros Townsend and Demarai Gary have made good starts to life on Merseyside.
