Barcelona star Clement Lenglet was spotted crying in his car after the club’s 1-1 La Liga draw with Cadiz on Sunday. The France international endured a troublesome time at the Nou Camp. And the result means Ronald Koeman’s side now face a huge fight to secure Champions League qualification.

Lenglet was poor on Sunday as Barcelona failed to bounce back after their 4-1 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League in midweek.

The home side took the lead through Lionel Messi, who scored from the penalty spot on his 506th league appearance for the club.

However, Cadiz struck late on to earn a draw through Alex Fernandez – who converted a spot-kick of his own.

It was a disappointing night for Barcelona and Lenglet, who committed the foul that lead to Fernandez’s strike.

And Mundo Deportivo have published a video obtained from fans that show the centre-back in tears in his car after the game.

The defender can be seen wiping his eyes as fans flocked around the vehicle, taking pictures of him.

However, he won’t have too long to feel sorry for himself with Barcelona next in action against Elche on Wednesday night.

They’ll need to return to winning ways to boost their chances of securing Champions League football next term because, while they’re currently third, their rivals are closing in.

Meanwhile, speaking after the game, Koeman opened up on the result and expressed his frustration at Barcelona players failing to finish off the game.

“It is disappointing, these types of games have to be won and we did not,” said the Dutchman.

“It is a great opportunity lost after the defeat of Atletico Madrid. It is a great disappointment.

“I am very very disappointed, more than last Tuesday. We could not leave escape the two points. We are disappointed.

“I don’t like to blame the individual players. We were not up to the task in attack and we have to defend differently. For quality, we had to win.

“The problem is that the result was very short and they could equalise at any time, as has happened.

“You leave them options to draw in the last minutes. If you don’t kill the game and score the second, they can always score.

“It was difficult for us to create opportunities because they were behind and there were no spaces.

“We lacked freshness at the top. We have to analyse what happened on the penalty, the whole play, we have to see how that action has been.”

Koeman does feel, though, that Barcelona can achieve big things before the end of the campaign – despite the miserable mood that surrounds the club.

“We can still do something, there is no team that wins games easily,” he said.

“But we must recognise that opportunities like today cannot be missed anymore. I don’t think it is unforgivable.

“It was an opportunity to close the gap. You have to fight and be well. To win.

“In a controlled match, we have let two points escape. In total, with them we have let five points escape and this cannot be.”

Barcelona have won 14 of their 23 La Liga matches this term, picking up 47 points.

That’s five less than fierce rivals Real Madrid, who have played a game more, and eight behind La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid.
