Manuel Neuer is facing an uncertain future at Bayern Munich, the club he has called home for almost a decade.
The German goalkeeper is looking to extend his stay with the Bavarian club but negotiations are at an impasse.
According to Bild, Neuer wants a longer deal than the one Bayern have put on the table and there is a possibility that talks will ‘fail’.

The World Cup winner is now 33 and entering the twilight of his career.
He is keen for another long-term contract at Bayern, where he has played since joining from Schalke back in 2011.
Neuer’s current contract runs out next summer and there is a very real chance that he could move on to pastures new.
Alexander Nubel is joining from Schalke in the summer and could be Neuer’s successor
The club have already signed another Schalke keeper in Alexander Nubel, who will join this summer.
He is regarded by many as Neuer’s successor so the club could have a difficult decision to make.
When Nubel played for Paderborn’s youth team, his teammates nicknamed him ‘Manuel’ because he reminded them of Neuer and it seems he could be filling the veteran’s sizeable boots before long.
