Love Island star Josh Denzel has revealed what Bukayo Saka told him, after the Arsenal starlet missed the crucial penalty in the Euro 2020 final, which went to spot-kicks.
Saka was the fifth taker for England, and with Italy 3-2 up, Saka had to find the back of the net – however, the Italian giant Gianluigi Donnarumma guessed the right way, denying the Englishman.
Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho were also unable to beat the free agent as Italy went onto claim their second Euros triumph: their first since 1968.
And Denzel has revealed what he messaged to a heartbroken Saka.
"I'm going to start the Bukayo Saka fan club, because as an Arsenal fan, for my sins, I know him well," Denzel told Sky Sports News on Tuesday.
"But, I think a lot of people were surprised by his performances at this tournament, and let me tell you the way he carries himself, he is loved universally.
"He's got such a clean heart, and that's why it's so sad to see what is happening here because you can't find a nicer guy in football.
"I messaged him and I said he should be proud, he messaged me back saying I’ll learn from this and we’ll grow from this, and that's what he'll do."

Denzel shot to fame as part of the 2018 Love Island cast, and prior to his appearance on the hit reality TV show, he was a social media presenter.
And he has put his presenting skills to the test during the Euros, where he has been the host of 'Lions Den' a YouTube series on the England Football channel.
