Chelsea transfer guru Marina Granovskaia is reportedly asking around to try and find a buyer for Timo Werner this summer. The misfiring German helped the Blues win the Champions League but his misfortunate in front of goal has led Thomas Tuchel into demanding a new No 9.

Chelsea are putting all of their efforts into trying to sign Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Haaland, who could command a £150million fee.

Reports have also circulated that the Blues are interested in Bayern Munich hitman Robert Lewandowski.

Olivier Giroud has left Chelsea to join AC Milan in a deal worth around £2million.

Tammy Abraham has become surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge following Frank Lampard’s sacking in December.

If the England international joins Giroud in quitting west London then that would leave Werner as the only registered striker at the club.

But Sky Germany reckon Chelsea are also interested in selling Werner this month.

The report suggests that Tuchel is ‘keen’ to keep hold of the 25-year-old for the upcoming season.

However. Granovskaia is apparently ‘asking around’ and putting out feelers to find a new home for the forward.

Chelsea are open to swapping some of their stars with Dortmund to try and convince them to part with Haaland.

Abraham, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Hakim Ziyech have all be mentioned as potential makeweights.

Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl has recently played down Haaland moving this window.

“Haaland to Chelsea? I read about it, but for us nothing has changed: we have plans with Erling for next season, he and his agent are aware of it. We expect him back this week,” Kehl said.

But Tuchel has previously made it clear that he needs to add a goalscorer to his squad.

“We need more goals and we rely on anybody and we want to trust anybody who is capable of scoring,” Tuchel said in April.

“But you just need to read the numbers, our top scorers have six goals.

“This is clearly not enough for the demands, the expectations and the targets Chelsea football club has and what we demand.

“I say this without any anger and without being rude to any of the offensive guys, I think they’re very well aware of it.”
