‘Andre is very important to us,’ ten Hag told Algemeen Dagblad.

‘Of course we don’t want to lose him, but it’s true that we have an agreement from last year about the development scenario and what steps we will take if the right club comes in at the right price.’

Ajax are reportedly hoping for £25million for the keeper, whose has a contract with the club until 2022.

Onana has impressed between the sticks for Ajax and has impressive first-team experience

At only 24-years-old he has impressive first-team experience after making his breakthrough back in 2016-17 season.

The Cameroonian’s season was voided last month after the Dutch FA decided to cancel the Eridivisie due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Dutch fans were denied a title fight between AZ Alkmaar and Ajax, with both sides sitting together on 56 points.

Onana’s goalkeeping had helped his side to a better goal difference and were leading the division, but there will be no further action.
