Chelsea are expected to name a rotated line-up on Wednesday ahead of the Carabao Cup tie against Aston Villa although Thomas Tuchel will still be able to field a strong side due to the depth that his club possess.
The Blues have only won the trophy once in the last 15 years, coming when they completed the Premier League and League Cup double in 2014/15 under Jose Mourinho.
And having only made two finals in the last 12 years – the other being a penalty loss to Manchester City in 2019 – Tuchel will look to impress in his maiden Carabao Cup campaign.
Coming up against a tough Villa side, there will be no room for error at Stamford Bridge. Express Sport takes a look at the expected XI for Wednesday’s game.
Arrizabalaga started against Tottenham at the weekend after Edouard Mendy picked up a hip injury against Zenit St Petersburg in their Champions League opener last week.
The Spaniard kept a clean sheet and dominated his area well as Chelsea romped to victory in north London.
And that will give Tuchel enough confidence to start him once again at home to Villa.
Defence: Rudiger, Chalobah, Azpilicueta
An experienced Chelsea defence has gone a long way to providing them with superb results this season, and Tuchel would be crazy to change the formula.
Antonio Rudiger will aim to keep his place following his superb performance against Tottenham, whilst captain Cesar Azpilicueta will give the Blues much-needed confidence.
And youngster Trevoh Chalobah may start alongside them as he continues to break further into the first-team picture.

Midfield: James, Jorginho, Saul, Chilwell
Ben Chilwell has yet to feature in any competition this season for Chelsea, bar the seven-minute cameo he made against Zenit last week.
Marcos Alonso’s stellar form has kept him out, although he and Reece James are likely to start in the wing-back berths against Dean Smith’s men.
And it may be a Carabao Cup debut for Saul Niguez, who signed on loan from Atletico Madrid on transfer deadline day.

Attack: Hudson-Odoi, Werner, Ziyech
Christian Pulisic will likely start at the weekend, although the Villa tie probably comes too early for his return, according to manager Tuchel.
Elsewhere, Werner will get a chance to impress up front after Romelu Lukaku claimed his stake as Chelsea’ spearhead – and given Werner’s poor performances last season, the German will look to impress.
With Hudson-Odoi and Ziyech likely to take up the wing spots, there is more than enough quality in the attack to see Chelsea through to the next round.
