Chelsea travel to face Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night as Frank Lampard’s side target silverware. Express Sport is on hand with all the latest team news and a predicted line-up.
After spending more than £200million on players in the transfer window, much was expected of Chelsea going into the new season.
However, the Stamford Bridge side have made a mixed start to the campaign so far.
After opening their Premier League season with a 3-1 win away to Brighton, Lampard’s men were seen off by Liverpool in a 2-0 defeat at Anfield.
They then had to come back from three goals down against West Brom to scrape a draw with a last-ditch leveller from Tammy Abraham.

In between the Liverpool and West Brom games, however, Chelsea enjoyed a 6-0 win over Barnsley in which club-record signing Kai Havertz got off the mark for his new club with a hat-trick.
The £72million man linked up well with Abraham in their first game together, with the striker having a hand in all of Havertz’s goals.
The reward for their endeavours was a fourth-round tie against Tottenham, in a competition Lampard will be taking seriously as he targets his first trophy as Chelsea boss.
Havertz and Abraham will get to develop their embryonic partnership some more in Tuesday’s clash at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, while at the other end of the pitch there could be a debut for Chelsea’s new goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.

Senegal international Mendy completed his £22m transfer from Rennes last week, and looks set for his first action – especially after Kepa Arrizabalaga was dropped for the weekend defeat to the Baggies.
Ben Chilwell could make his first start for Chelsea as the new left-back signing steps up his recovery from a heel injury, having come on as a sub in the last round.
Lampard looks set to rotate some of his defenders, with Cesar Azpilicueta and Fikayo Tomori likely to come back into the side after playing against Barnsley.
Kurt Zouma could be preferred at centre-half to Thiago Silva, who played the last two games, while Ross Barkley could come into the midfield alongside Mateo Kovacic.

With Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic still injured, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Mason Mount should get further chances to impress in attack alongside Havertz and Abraham.
Midfielder Billy Gilmour is also out with a knee injury, and is not expected back until next month at the earliest, while Lampard has said Ruben Loftus-Cheek may go out on loan to build up game time.
Tottenham are without Son Heung-min after the forward suffered a hamstring injury aduring the draw against Newcastle at the weekend.
Spurs will check on Moussa Sissoko after illness, while new signing Gareth Bale has a knee injury and is out until October.
Chelsea predicted line-up to face Tottenham (4-2-3-1): Mendy; Azpilicueta, Zouma, Tomori, Chilwell; Barkley, Kovacic; Hudson-Odoi, Havertz, Mount; Abraham.
