Given their £200million splurge over the summer, Chelsea were somewhat quiet on transfer deadline day.
There were no new arrivals, while Jorginho, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Fikayo Tomori all stayed at Stamford Bridge having been linked with moves away.
Antonio Rudiger also stayed put despite falling out of favour under Frank Lampard and amid interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
There were two departures, however, as Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Malang Sarr secured loan moves to Fulham and Porto respectively.
While the Blues can be more than happy with their business, the club are free to sign players from the lower leagues in England until October 16.
With over a week to conduct any late business, here is a round-up of the latest Chelsea gossip.
Why Bayern ended Hudson-Odoi pursuit
Bayern Munich ended their interest in Chelsea winger Hudson-Odoi due to the Premier League side's various demands, as per Bild.
According to the report, Chelsea wanted to include a €77m obligation to buy in the 19-year-old’s loan to Bayern, as well as a penalty fee if he did not receive enough playing time.
Hudson-Odoi is a long-time target for the European champions, who failed with multiple bids to sign him in January 2019.
With Chelsea refusing to compromise, Bayern turned their attention elsewhere as they re-signed Douglas Costa on loan from Juventus.
Rudiger ‘tried everything’ to leave Chelsea – Low
Out-of-favour Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger tried everything to leave the club during the summer, according to Germany boss Joachim Low.
The 27-year-old was linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur during the latter days of the window after being frozen out of the first-team picture at Stamford Bridge by Lampard.
“I was in constant contact with Toni Rudiger, he was keeping me in the loop,” said Low.
“He had three or four options over the weekend but unfortunately, nothing materialised – he can try again in the winter.
“He can put in a great performance even without a few weeks of match practice. I've been walking the path with him over the past few years and we've had a dialogue since the very beginning. His development over the past four or five years has been great.
“He has established himself as a top international player. In terms of athleticism, dynamism and tough duels, he maintains his top level for a few weeks even without match practice.
“He tried everything to leave Chelsea because the European Championship is very important to him. I think he'll try to leave again in the winter. He's doing everything he can to stay in his best form.”

Chelsea defender Baba Rahman has received loan offers from Middlesbrough and Watford, according to Goal.
Rahman, 26, has failed to break into the Blues first-team since joining from Augsburg in 2015 for £14m, managing 23 appearances in his first season before spending the last five years on loan at Schalke, Reims and Mallorca.
The Ghana international left-back could be one of several players to leave Chelsea with Jake Clarke-Salter and Danny Drinkwater also thought to be attracting interest from Championship clubs.
