England heroine Chloe Kelly gets warm reception as she takes match ball onto the pitch at QPR after bagging the winner in the final of Euro 2022, as Lionesses are welcomed to grounds across the country

Chloe Kelly was given a huge cheer as she carried the match ball out at Loftus Road, after the striker scored England’s winner in the final of Euro 2022 against Germany.

Kelly has spoken about her support for QPR in recent weeks, and even referred to her Euro-winning striker as ‘my Bobby Zamora moment’.

The club tweeted a picture of her with ca signed shirt and the caption: ‘Welcome home Chloe Kelly! Euros Champion!’

They also posted a video of Kelly bringing the match ball out to huge cheers ahead of the Rs’ clash with Middlesbrough.

There were further appearances for the Lionesses across the country today as the Premier League season got underway.

Rachel Daly was welcomed onto the pitch ahead of Leeds’ game with Wolves at Elland Road and given a similar reaction from the fans.

There was also an appearance for Lauren Hemp at Carrow Raod, with Norwich tweeting that she received an ‘excellent reception.’

Sheffield United showed their appreciation for Alex Greenwood, tweeting: ‘European Champion! Congratulations on an incredible tournament & it’s great to have you with us today,’ as the she posed with her Euro medal.

There has been non-footballing reaction to the Lionesses win as well, most famously in Headingley, where a Domino’s that used to employ Lucy Bronze changed their sign to read ‘Lucy’s’.
