Manchester City will renew their efforts to finally lift the Champions League trophy when they face RB Leipzig in the first leg of their last-16 tie at the Red Bull Arena on Wednesday evening.
The elite European club competition is the one major honour that continues to elude the club after Pep Guardiola’s side have faced several heartbreaking exits over recent years.
With their title hopes hanging in the balance, it adds even more importance to achieving success in the Champions League this year.
But they face a resurgent Leipzig with Marco Rose’s side having lost just once in all competitions since September, while they also remain in the Bundesliga title race – four points behind leaders Bayern Munich.
Ahead of tomorrow’s intriguing clash, Sportsmail’s Chris Sutton has taken a look at three dangermen for the German side that City must be wary of.

Szoboszlai is one of the first names that Marco Rose writes on his team sheet at RB Leipzig.
The pride of Hungary, 22, played under Rose at Red Bull Salzburg and is a clever creator on the right wing.
Whoever Pep Guardiola starts at left back for Manchester City – be it Bernardo Silva or someone else if he drops that experiment – Szoboszlai needs tying down. He’s assisted eight goals in the Bundesliga.

I’m looking forward to seeing how Gvardiol handles Erling Haaland. He’s a brilliant passer and, at 21, one of the most highly-rated young defenders around.
Gvardiol was Croatia’s man in the mask at the World Cup who tried and failed to stop Lionel Messi from assisting Julian Alvarez for Argentina in the semi-finals.
But Gvardiol is a rising star and someone we’re likely to see in the Premier League soon. Chelsea will no doubt be calling his agent.

When you play City, you’ve got to try to nullify their control of midfield. That’s easier said than done, given it will be packed.
Ilkay Gundogan, Rodri, Jack Grealish will be dropping in from the left and Riyad Mahrez will come in off the right, not to mention Silva from left back.
But Leipzig are a high-intensity team and the box-to-box Haidara, 25, brings great legs alongside Xaver Schlager.
