Coutinho’s wife shares bedroom snap of loved-up couple in Aston Villa shirts

Philippe Coutinho's wife Aine has sent a passionate message to Aston Villa supporters after the former Liverpool midfielder secured a loan exit from Barcelona this week.

The Brazil international has failed to find his best form in La Liga following his £142million Anfield exit – and has been made free to leave by new boss Xavi.

Signing on a temporary move with an option to buy, Coutinho will be looking to immediately impress his former team-mate Steven Gerrard – and has the full support of his wife.

Aine has shared a heart-warming snap with her husband to her 941,000 followers on Instagram, gaining more than 30,000 likes in just a matter of hours.

The snap has the caption: "And today we wake up like this #upthevilla."

Philippe moved to Italy at the age of just 18 following interest from Inter Milan, and was followed by both his parents and then-girlfriend Aine, whom he had met at a party.

The pair remained in Europe after his parents returned to South America, and they returned to Brazil to get married in 2012 – the same year he joined Liverpool.

The couple have two daughters as well as a son, with Philippe having tribute tattoos of his wife, parents and also his two brothers.

Coutinho has mentioned the influence of both Gerrard and the history of the club in his first interview since returning to England with the official Villa website.

He said: "It’s a pleasure to be here; it’s a great club.

"I spoke a lot with the manager, with Stevie, and he told me about the club and his ambitions. I’m very happy to be here and I'm looking to enjoy my football."

Adding: "I’ve known Stevie for a long time. I played with him and I learned a lot from him.

"He’s someone who I have big admiration for. I hope to do my best here. For sure, I will work hard, and I hope together we can do good work."

Villa will be looking to bounce back from their disappointing FA Cup exit against Manchester United by beating the same opponents in the Premier League at home on Saturday.
