Tottenham supporters have hailed the "excellent s***house behaviour" shown by Cristian Romero in his taunting of Harry Maguire as they took on Manchester United on Saturday.

The Argentina international defender screamed in the face of the England defender after he had put the ball into his own net the level up the scores at 2-2.

The under-fire United captain incidentally cancelled out Cristiano Ronaldo's second goal after Harry Kane's penalty had down the same to the forward's opener.

Maguire slid in to block a Sergio Reguilon's cross from reaching Romero in the middle of the box – but stuck it past Maguire to the delight of Reguilon.

Romero, who ended up on the losing side after Ronaldo completed his hat-trick, then shouted in the face of Maguire in celebration before running off.

Skipper Maguire did well not to rise to the vicious taunt as he got back to his feet, with Ronaldo's late winner moving United into the top four.

Before that goal, Spurs fans took a chance to hail Romero, who is fast becoming their best defender as well as showing his obvious passion for the game.
