Danny Dyer rates West Ham climbing to fourth above daughter Dani having baby boy

Eastenders hardman Danny Dyer has ranked West Ham moving into the Premier League top four above becoming a grandad.

Daughter Dani, who found fame by winning Love Island in 2018, gave birth to a baby boy on Saturday.

But that news was beaten for Danny as his beloved West Ham moved into the Champions League places with a 3-2 win over Crystal Palace.

Following the victory, Danny took to Instagram to post a photo of the Premier League table.

He wrote alongside: “I think I can safely say that having my first beautiful Grandson was the second best thing to happen to me this week. Come on you f***ing Irons.”

Danny is a lifelong West Ham fan having first gone to Upton Park when just a boy.

On his love for the Hammers, he previously said: “I think your club chooses you, I come from Canning Town, West Ham’s my club.

“Other teams come to my town to try to nick points off my football club. That doesn’t matter if you support West Ham, whether you support Rochdale, Crewe, whoever it may be, wherever you’re from, it’s your club and you’re proud of it.

“We’re not known for winning things, but what we are known for is having a good support and that raw, intense atmosphere.

“I must have been about nine or ten (for my first game), unfortunately losing 1-0 to Coventry, doesn’t sound like the most exciting game.”

Danny did go to his daughter’s house to meet his newborn grandson earlier this week, seen heading there on Monday.
