Chelsea transfer target Declan Rice is reportedly weighing up whether or not he should push for a move away from West Ham United.
The 21-year-old is a top target for manager Frank Lampard, as the Blues look to continue splashing the cash this summer.
The Hammers are desperate to keep Rice but the Independent are reporting that the player will decide whether he should attempt to force through a move to Stamford Bridge.
It comes after West Ham legend Frank McAvennie warned the club that they need to put in better performances than they did in their 2-0 loss to Newcastle on the opening day of the Premier League season if they do not want Rice to push for an exit.
Speaking to Football Insider, McAvennie said: "If they want to keep Declan Rice then they have to be doing better than that. He is a great player and he will not want to be playing in a team like that."
Chelsea have already spent big in the transfer window, paying £36m for Hakim Ziyech, activating Timo Werner's £47m release clause, forking out £45m for Ben Chilwell and spending £72m on Kai Havertz.

The Blues have also secured the signature of experienced defender Thiago Silva on a free after he left Paris Saint-Germain.
They are also looking to sign a new goalkeeper and Rennes stopper Eouard Mendy is expected to join the club.
Former Chelsea goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer believes Mendy would be an upgrade on Kepa Arrizabalaga, who struggled last season.
Schwarzer told Goal : "It’s obvious that there are questions marks over Kepa, I think his save ratio last season was the worst in the Premier League.

"He clearly hasn’t had a good time there. I think it hasn't been entirely his own doing – defensively Chelsea haven’t been at their best.
"I think the step up to Chelsea has been astronomical and add the fact that they’ve paid a world record fee for him, it’s been really tough. I just don’t feel he’s progressed as far as they hoped he had hence why they believe they need to bring in another keeper to really push him.
"I’d be surprised if they brought in Mendy and didn’t wait too long before putting him in as number one. It could be very damaging [to Kepa] and he may feel he has little chance to retain it."
